Saturday, March 13th is the Dundee Parent Club 2010 Auction and Dinner! Items to be auctioned off are donated baskets from each homeroom (by theme) and various goods and services from local businesses. These will be included in the Silent Auction. Projects artistically decorated by each student in every homeroom will be auctioned off in the Live Auction along with items or events donated by the Dundee Elementary Staff. Doors open at 5:30pm for the Silent Auction and appetizers! The catered dinner begins at 6:45pm with the Live Auction following at 7:30pm and the evening ending at 9:30pm. Tickets are $35 per person (adults only) at the door.  Please email questions to: waibelc@verizon.net.

Thursday - 2nd Graders Serenade, a part of Suessical the Musical
Friday - Hat Day (Old Hat, New Hat) - Wear your fun old hat / new hat to school

Congratulations to Mrs. Schneider's fourth/fifth grade class.  They were our top Read-A-Thon classroom and have earned a popcorn party with an extra recess!  Newberg High School Seniors, Dylan Klaus and Anna Garcia organized and kicked off this Read-A-Thon for our Dundee 4th/5th grade classrooms. Tracking by pages read, Mrs. Schneiders class read 14,087 pages from December 1st - January 8th!  Altogether 4th/5th Graders read 41,377 pages!  Way to go, readers!!

Dear Dundee Elementary 1st-5th Grade Parents,

School starts September 8th this fall!  The new year comes with some changes in how we are placing students.  Once the School Board makes their final decision regarding our district's operational budget and program reductions for the next year, we will be able to finalize staffing and notify Dundee School parents of their child's teacher.  In the past, we have sent a letter to parents along with a supply list and other information.  Because of the cost of postage, we will not be able to do this for the upcoming fall.  We anticipate posting class lists in the office windows and the west windows of the building after 4 PM on Friday, September 4th.  Parents and students are welcome to come to the school and find out who their teacher is after that time.

Dear Dundee Elementary Kindergarten Parents,

September 10th is the first day of school for our Kindergarteners!  We are excited to become acquainted with our new kinders and their families this fall!

Kindergarten letters will be mailed out the week of August 31st assigning your student into an AM or PM class.  You will be given an orientation time which will match up with your student's placement (morning or afternoon).  Orientation meetings are about one hour long and take place on September 8th or 9th.  This will be a great time for the teacher to meet your student and you in a small group setting with other classmates and parents.  You will get information about curriculum and have time to get questions answered.  Because of limited space, please do not bring siblings, relatives and friends!

Several Kinders' immunizations need to be updated before school begins.  If your student is one of these, please bring in the updated information during your orientation time or before school begins on September 10th.
