Newberg High School is one of 1,086 high schools in 40 states awarded a bronze medal in the U.S. News & World Report ranking of American high schools. The award recognizes schools that provide a good education across their entire student body and that prepare students for postsecondary opportunities.

U.S. News & World Report, in collaboration with School Evaluation Services, a K-12 education data research business run by Standard & Poor's, analyzed academic and enrollment data from more than 18,000 public high schools to find the very best across the country. These top schools were placed into gold, silver, or bronze medal categories.

Thirty-nine Oregon high schools rate as silver or bronze, a designation given to just one percent of high schools nationwide.
