Newberg School District Seeks Applicants for Zone 2 Board Vacancy
The Newberg School District Board of Directors is seeking applications from qualified residents interested in serving on the School Board for Zone 2.
The Board will appoint an individual to fill the vacant position and serve until the next regularly scheduled election for the position.
Serving on the School Board is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the education and success of students throughout the Newberg-Dundee community. Board members help establish district policies, adopt the annual budget, set strategic priorities, and represent the interests of students, families, staff, and community members.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must:

Be a registered voter in the State of Oregon.

Have resided within Newberg School District Zone 2 for at least one year immediately preceding the appointment.

Not be an employee of the Newberg School District.
Application Process
Interested individuals are invited to submit an application and letter of interest outlining their qualifications, experience, and reasons for seeking appointment to the Board.
Applications will be accepted through Monday, July 6, 2026, which is 20 days from today, June 16, 2026.

Selection Process
Following the application deadline, the Board will review submitted materials and may conduct interviews with selected candidates during a public meeting. The Board anticipates making an appointment shortly thereafter.
