Volunteer
Newberg-Dundee Public Schools welcomes volunteers of all ages. Teaching experience or professional experience is not required. A volunteer’s most important qualification is a genuine interest in helping students succeed.
There are many ways to get involved with your school. We do not start the volunteer process until all the following steps have been completed by the applicant:
- Please contact the individual school to learn how you can help students or teachers in the classroom or school. Volunteer opportunities vary from school to school.
- All volunteers are required to complete a volunteer screening process which includes a criminal history background check, ID verification, and a photo. All background checks must be renewed every four years.
- Please complete the confidential criminal history application (see below for printable forms). Along with the criminal background application, a signed Statement of Volunteer Confidentiality and Child Abuse Reporting form, and a signed Field Trip Chaperone Agreement form to the school district office at 714 E. Sixth in Newberg (all forms linked below or available at the District Office). Your photo will be taken for an identification badge, you will also need to show a valid photo ID. Your Volunteer badge will be sent to the school you will be volunteering at after the background check has been processed and the badge is made. The process may take up to two weeks, check in with the school to see if your badge is finished.
