Dear Newberg-Dundee Families,
Today a tragic event occurred at Silver Rail Elementary School in Bend. Our hearts go out to the Bend community and to the families affected. News is still developing, and we are holding the students, staff, and families there in our thoughts.
I want you to know that Newberg-Dundee Public Schools has safety and response plans in place at every school so that we remain prepared to keep your children safe. Principals have been asked to review these plans in light of this event. We take the safety of our students to heart, and it is at the forefront of our minds.
Thank you for your partnership in caring for our students.
Sincerely,
Dave Parker
Superintendent
