Bus Routes

The bus routes are available as PDFs below and in ParentVUE. If you don't have access to ParentVUE or need help understanding the routes, call your school or FirstStudent at 503-863-2633. A partial list is available for Edwards below, and Dual Language families can get additional details by calling 503-554-5050.
 
Transportation is available to all eligible students within the boundaries of the Newberg-Dundee School District. Elementary students beyond a one-mile radius of their school and secondary students beyond a 1.5-mile radius of their school are eligible for bus transportation. First Student is the bus transportation company for the Newberg-Dundee School District. Please see the PDF documents of all available school bus routes below.

You can get your child's bus stop information through your school, and all of the routes are posted on the Transportation Department page. The First View mobile app allows you to monitor your child's progress on their route:

Safety

  • All buses are equipped with video cameras
  • Seating may be assigned to improve behavior on the bus
  • Rules for bus riders are sent home to parents at the beginning of the school year for parents to review with their students

Courtesy Transportation for Ineligible Riders
 
The District may provide courtesy transportation for ineligible* home-to-school bus riders under the following considerations:
  • Space must be available on the regular bus route without displacing eligible school bus riders or overcrowding the bus
  • Courtesy transportation will be extended only at existing stops and times. Stops will not be added to a bus route to accommodate a courtesy request.
  • Students must abide by Student Conduct on School Buses policy EEACC-AR.
  • The parent or guardian may complete an Alternate Busing Transportation Request Form, which can be submitted to the student's school of attendance for routing.
  • Review and response may take up to two (2) weeks; please plan accordingly.

Snow Routes

  • Limited transportation service is provided when snow and ice make road conditions dangerous.
  • Snow routes are modified on Parrett Mountain, Bald Peak, and the Red Hills and may be in effect during inclement weather.

Special Needs Students

Drivers will contact parents of special needs students prior to the start of the school year to discuss student needs.
