Transfer

Parents interested in transferring their children to another school within the Newberg-Dundee School District must apply for an intra-district transfer. Parents living within the Newberg School District boundaries who wish to enroll a child in another district must apply for an inter-district transfer using the form at the bottom of this page. Please accompany your transfer request with a brief, written description of why you wish to transfer. Complete the forms and mail them to or drop them off at the District Office: 714 E. Sixth St., Newberg, OR 97132.

 

To Transfer Within the Newberg-Dundee School District

Complete the intra-district transfer form (available on our website and may also be obtained from your school office) and submit it to the principal of the school in your assigned attendance area.The principals from both schools will meet to discuss the transfer request. Approval/Denial is determined at the building level.Applications to attend school outside the assigned attendance area for the next school year can be submitted by parent/guardian starting in May. Building-to-building transfer requests received in the summer months will be processed after staff have returned to the buildings in mid-August. Please contact your school for questions.

To attend school in another district individuals must apply for inter-district transfer acceptance, and request to be released from their home district. Inter-district transfer forms are attached at the bottom of this page and may also be obtained from the district office. For admission to the Newberg-Dundee School District coming from a different district, please fill out the Request for Admission form. For release from the Newberg-Dundee School District to attend school in a different district, please fill out the Request for Release form.
